In the following video, Eco activist Al Gore (see that other article with a link to The Inconvenient Truth) is having a go at cynics like M Crichton who claim that carbon emissions have nothing to do with global climate change. Beyond Al Gore’s courage and honourable fight, it is probable that those cynics are not just unaware of the issues that threaten our very environment. They are also unaware of new radical business changes whereby true innovators and true business people are actually trying to launch new initiatives for sustainable development (ie beyond the usual politically correct blabla we hear form time to time). French firm Yokozuna technologies for instance has just launched a new plastic pen, only the plastic that it’s made of is not derived from petroleum products but from … corn. a photo of that product is available here.  A whole range of biodegradable products is available from them including replacements of plastic carrier bags for instance. Now that may not solve the global climate change problem in a day but this is certainly sustainable development for you.
